Service Description

To obtain your Florida Concealed Weapon License (CWL) you must obtain a certificate of completion of a Florida Handgun Safety class like this one. Once you obtain your certificate you will need to take it to the Tax Collector's office and apply for your permit from the State Department of Agriculture. As it's so easy to get this certificate some classes offer the bare minimum. NOT US! It is our mission at TDTC to equip our students with the confidence and training needed to carry a loaded weapon safely AND know what to do in critical situations! Our Florida CWL class includes intensive training both in the classroom and on our private shooting range, so all our students leave feeling empowered and most importantly SAFE! We feel people wishing to carry a firearm for self-defense should have proper training and our qualified CWL - Handgun Safety Course offers just that. The course runs approx 5 hours long (usually offered on Saturday from 9am - 2pm) and you will: - Learning gun laws, reviewing fatal scenarios, case studies and best practices. - Handle many different makes & models of handguns. - Shoot a variety of weapons on our private gun range under the instruction of experts. - Get all your questions answered! *Please bring something to drink, a snack, pen & paper. If you have a personal firearm you would like to learn how to shoot please bring it unloaded and leave it with the Instructor upon arrival to class. **This Florida CWL class is a prerequisite for ALL other TDTC courses.
